20 Tips for touring on Motorcycle

Image
1) Adjust your suspension Especially if you are traveling with a passenger and you’ve added a lot of weight with luggage, check the sagging on the suspension. A good rule of thumb is that the loaded bike with you on top should use about a third of available travel weight. 2) Bring a full-face helmet Even if you don’t normally wear one, many roads and terrains require a lid of some form or fashion. Specifically, full-face lids offer a few benefits to a touring rider. They’re great at keeping you warm, and a helmet is built just like a thermos, They’re also better at keeping a rider dry than any other style And finally, they excel at keeping noise at bay. Many riders aren’t aware that noise really drains your energy. 3) Keep water handy even in cool weather and temperature. Some people throw a bottle in their tank bag. I usually lash one to the top of my gear so it’s the first thing I can grab when I pull over for a quick stop remember this is very important to be hy...

How to Generate Extra Power in your Motorcycle

Image
Guys this is not a tutorial where iam teaching you how to do it, I just wanted to tell u there is a way to generate extra 12volt dc power while riding using wind , And for that the best thing you can use is these little computer cooling fans, all you need to do is hook this up with your battery terminals as shown, and there your battery will be getting charged not just by the engine alternator but also by the CPU fan The next process is to add an switch to the connection so that battery doesn't get used by the CPU fan while bike is stationary, now the set up is finished, just switch on the circuit when u are riding and you will have extra battery power to charge phone, camera, heating pad and extra Light on your motorcycle, Visit my Youtube channel BIKER SCIENTIST

how to change Pulsar 220 handlebar for Touring

Image
First of all let me tell you guys Pulsar 220 is an amazingly powerful machine which can endure any kind of terrain, that is why I chose this bike to be my touring partner, But with the stock handlebar there was a huge problem for me to take it on long rides, even though i have done many long rides on my Pulsar 220 but i  always thought it would be better if the handle position would have been higher for Touring, so I changed the whole handlebar position as well as converted my stock handlebar that is from two piece handles to a single handlebar. here is how I did it first i drilled Two holes in the Top Plate of Fork assembly You can see in above picture. Then removed the whole Two piece handle setup with all the brake, clutch, and acceleration cable, Then i installed two handle bar holders in those holes and tightened it from below, Then i installed handle bar with all the fittings i changed clutch wire and used platina clutch cable, Disc brake c...
