Talakad and Shivanasamudra Bike Ride Experience

It was Sunday 22-11-2020 morning
I woke up after seeing a weird dream and saw the time,
It was 4.17am 'Damn I will be late' I said to myself and hurriedly Went to bathroom and got fresh wore my riding jacket and gloves.

Meanwhile I had started to recieve many live locations of my fellow bikers who had already left for meeting points.

This time we had decided two meeting points for bikers because everyone was coming from different parts of Bangalore.

I called karan ( Prince Bhalla ) and asked him when will he reach Jayanagar so that we both can go towards Sarakki signal junction ( our first meeting point ) near Banashankari.
In another ten minutes he came near Jayanagar and we both reached Sarakki Junction.

At sarakki junction I met with Sameer, Dileep, Sai, and Ramu, and from here we proceeded towards NICE road Junction on Kanakapura where Digpal singh and Gajanand were already waiting for us.
( I forgot to mention but one more biker from our group Amrit overslept and missed the alarm and when I called him to ask about his whereabouts he was kind of shocked hearing the time but still he was determined to Join this ride )

While going towards Nice road junction ( 2nd meeting point ) we all noticed one of our biker Ramu was riding extremely slow, and when I asked the reason for it he said, he doesn't have any experience of riding on highway with a group.
& I was like 🤦🏽‍♂️,

It was a very Weird situation because here we had a biker in our group who didn't have any experience of Highway riding and on the other hand we had Amrit who was coming from Yelahanka and he was 40 minutes late than expected Departure time.

Anyway we reached 2nd meeting point and met with Digpal and Gajanand and then couple of minutes later we started the ride after informing Amrit to Join us in Kanakapura which is around 60 kilometres from Bangalore.

Here I asked Gajanand to Lead the Group and i will be riding in rear so that i can monitor the group and handle the situations that arise without any notice.
And here again i saw Ramu riding extremely extremely slow literally at the speed of 40 - 50 kmph on Open road where anyone can easily do 80kmph.

The whole group was getting separated into two because of this, as Gajanand who was leading the group went ahead and me with digpal singh were kind of doing 40 kmph with Ramu.

We stopped near a lake and we had to decide whether to take Ramu with us or send him back to Bangalore and continue with the ride,
but somewhere deep within my heart I was feeling very bad to send this guy home, because after all he had put his effort into coming and joining our group for this ride,
so I had to plan something which is beneficial for both of us and  that's why we sent Ramu ahead of us and after he had covered around 4 or 5 kilometers we started riding,
which in turn gave us a chance to experience speed as well as being with Ramu.
After reaching kanakapura we searched for a Idly shop which was very famous and thanks to Gajanand who had enquired about this place which is near Arkawati theater ( if you ask anyone near arkawati river about the idly house everyone will guide you towards it )
Idly here were amazing and 4 idly for 10 rupees it was the cheapest and best idly you can imagine.

Meanwhile Amrit joined us and after finishing breakfast first thing i did was to send Ramu ahead again,
And in ten minutes we left for talakad.

From here I was Leading the group and i would keep checking the location status of Ramu who was 4 kilometres ahead of us,

The ride was incredibly smooth and very very scenic because the talakad road from Kanakapura goes from farmlands and hills it was blissful experience.
And at last we reached Talakad around 9am
And after parking our bikes we went near the water.

Talakad is similar to a beach ( without waves )
There is sand, and calm water where u can go deep inside without any worries because its not that deep but of course you must be careful of the strong river currents which can easily take you away.
First we decided to take a coracle ride and it was just 50 rupees per person
It was really a beautiful experience...
After completing the coracle ride Me, Gajanand, Amrit, and Sai went For a swim and enjoyed a lot doing all kinds of masti,

Meanwhile our other group members were busy playing with a Ball
Our Bikers Playing volleyball

After playing and swimming for more than 3 hours we were exhausted and wanted to eat something, thats why we decided that we will move towards our Second ride destination of today, that is Shivanasamudra which was almost around 40 kilometres away.

After having few chats and snacks we again sent Ramu ahead of us with his live location on for us to track him, and in ten or fifteen minutes we started to move towards shivanasamudra.

The route is very very beautiful and scenic with lots of farmlands and small streams of cauvery river alongside which goes through small villages with old houses.

After crossing the Hand post Cauvery River bridge we took the route towards Bharachukki first.

Bharachukki was also called Niagara falls of india because of its beauty and huge waterfall,
But nowadays its becoming a more of a tourist hub than a Natural wonder.

Before you enter bharachukki road you must pay 10 rupee for bike and 20 rupees for car as a parking fee,
But i don't understand why we should pay anything just to see something that nature gave us, and let me tell you there is no proper parking facility just a barren patch of land with mud and stones where you should park at your own risk.
There wasn't anything much to do here except keep seeing the waterfall,
We were exhausted, hungry, and also needed time to sit and relax somewhere.

From here we headed towards Gaganchukki falls,
Here there is also a Dargah of a Sufi Saint,

There are many small hotels over here which prepare delicious fish and roti etc
We first tried to get a glimpse of waterfall but it was so crowded that we just didn't get to see anything.
Then we decided its best that we eat something so we went inside a hotel and ordered Fish and roti with Daal,
It was delicious and everyone ate their fill except Digpal singh and Amrit both of them refused to eat even a little ( maybe they didn't like the atmosphere or the crowd )

Anyway after having food we went near the river to sit back and relax here are those beautiful moments.
After relaxing for around 1 hour and literally taking hundreds of pictures we decided to head home,
But before that we had to send Ramu ahead so once again we took his live location and sent him ahead and after 10 or 15 minutes we left Shivanasamudra and took malavalli kanakapura road for Bangalore.

It took us around 3 hour 40 minutes to reach Bangalore because we gave few stops in between and all the while keeping a check on Ramu.

We reached outskirts of Bangalore and took this Picture
And from here we went towards our homes and in another 30 or 40 minutes we all posted our messages in our whatsapp group that we safely reached home.
