Calcutta to London on 175cc Rajdoot Motorcycle

Eleven adventure riders started from Calcutta on six Rajdoot 175 and Mr. Jaswant Singh (Jassy) joined them at Faridabad with his Rajdoot Deluxe 175 covered 20,000 Kms from Calcutta to London in just 21 days back in 1979. They rode from Calcutta to Delhi and to Bombay and then shailed to Kuwait, from Kuwait to Iran to Syria on to Turkey- one of the roughest known terrains in the world, a herculean testfor both man and his machine. Then from Turkey right through Bulgaria, Yogoslavia, Austria, Germany, Belgium and finally, to London. Riders use to cover 600 kms. per day at an average speed of 60 to 70 Kmph. This advertisement was published by royal mascot for Kolkata to London motorcycle ride leaving from the Rajdoot motorcycle plant Calcutta. Truly remarkable that these men did a ride of more than 20,000 kilometres on a 175cc motorcycle

It was Sunday 22-11-2020 morning I woke up after seeing a weird dream and saw the time, It was 4.17am 'Damn I will be late' I said to myself and hurriedly Went to bathroom and got fresh wore my riding jacket and gloves. Meanwhile I had started to recieve many live locations of my fellow bikers who had already left for meeting points. This time we had decided two meeting points for bikers because everyone was coming from different parts of Bangalore. I called karan ( Prince Bhalla ) and asked him when will he reach Jayanagar so that we both can go towards Sarakki signal junction ( our first meeting point ) near Banashankari. In another ten minutes he came near Jayanagar and we both reached Sarakki Junction. At sarakki junction I met with Sameer, Dileep, Sai, and Ramu, and from here we proceeded towards NICE road Junction on Kanakapura where Digpal singh and Gajanand were already waiting for us.
