Calcutta to London on 175cc Rajdoot Motorcycle
Eleven adventure riders started from Calcutta on six Rajdoot 175 and Mr. Jaswant Singh (Jassy) joined them at Faridabad with his Rajdoot Deluxe 175 covered 20,000 Kms from Calcutta to London in just 21 days back in 1979. They rode from Calcutta to Delhi and to Bombay and then shailed to Kuwait, from Kuwait to Iran to Syria on to Turkey- one of the roughest known terrains in the world, a herculean testfor both man and his machine. Then from Turkey right through Bulgaria, Yogoslavia, Austria, Germany, Belgium and finally, to London. Riders use to cover 600 kms. per day at an average speed of 60 to 70 Kmph.
